The Community Schools Clothes Closet is located inside of General Beadle Elementary School and houses clothing, shoes, coats and hygiene items for elementary age students.
We are currently seeking volunteers to help us sort the newly donated clothes and assist us when families come to partake in the resource throughout the school year. The clothes closet is open from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, August through May. The majority of families call to make an appointment, but we do accept walk-ins during that time.
Volunteers will help stack clothing in size order on the shelves provided, hang coats/jackets on the rack, and sort shoes by size and place in the shoes closet provided. They will also be interacting with the families that come in to use the resource and document their information on the sheets provided inside the closet.
The Community Schools Clothes Closet impacts many local families and students throughout the school year. Your help in helping keep the closet organized and providing smiles and encouragement to the families who utilize this resource will be beneficial to us!
