SD Special Olympic Softball Tournament

Volunteers for secondary umpire,score book, scoreboard, field supervisor, and field maintenance for five fields as well as registration, hospitality, and professional fan support are requested.

DATE OF EVENT: Saturday, Sept. 19 & Sunday, Sept. 20

TIME OF EVENT: Report @ 7 a.m. – Event begins @ 8 a.m. (Concludes around: 5 p.m.)

LOCATION OF EVENT: Star of the West Sports Complex; 1515 Sedivy Ln, Rapid City, SD 57703

Knowledge of softball required for some of the job duties, but others no experience necessary. This event you will be working for/with individuals with intellectual disabilities. Names will be read into City Council Minutes as official City of Rapid City Volunteers.

Pennington County Jail Seeks Re-Integration Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to assist inmates with re-integration into the community upon release.  Volunteers, who are assisted by the transition program coordinator,  lead small-group classes and do one-on-one transition planning for inmates who are within 30 days of release.

Bethany Christian Services seeks volunteers to come alongside the placing parent in crisis, connect them with community resources that can help the parents get back on their feet, and act as a mentor and friend.  Family friends need to go through a short application and training process.

Volunteer at the Journey Museum!

The Journey Museum and Learning Center needs volunteers who can serve as docents and area guides.  These volunteers create connections to the exhibits for visitors.  Tour guides conduct group tours.  Area guides work in a specific area of the museum.

Kids Activites @ Main Street Square

The Zonta Club of the Black Hills seeks volunteers to help with kids activities @ the Main Street Square, Rapid City, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday July 16th.  Volunteer activities will include Face Painting, Bouncy Castle Supervision and Bean Bag Toss.
