The Literacy Council of the Black Hills is seeking volunteer tutors. All volunteer tutors are trained as tutors for adults, or in special cases teenagers, who are having difficulties reading, writing, speaking, and/or listening at a basic literacy level (0 to approximately 8th grade level).
Tutoring is one-on-one and volunteers meet with students in public places of their choice and at times that are convenient for them. Tutors try to meet at least once a week and a one-year commitment is advised.
