The Fall Classic- Special Olympics South Dakota

The Special Olympics South Dakota is seeking volunteers to help out at this years Fall Classic on September 20-22. Volunteer duties include: Officiating/scorekeeping for Bocce on September 20th, providing water to teams, Hospitality, Score runners following games during Softball September 21-22.

Harvest Festival- Youth & Family Services

Youth & Family Services is seeking volunteers for the upcoming Harvest Festival  on Saturday, September 7 from 8:00-2:30.  The event starts at 10 a.m. and ends at 2 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help set-up booths and canopies, relocate supplies, assist at booths and then dismantle the canopies at the end of the event.

Day of Caring Projects Needed: United Way of the Black Hills

Day of Caring kicks off our fundraising campaign with a community-wide focus on providing a helping hand. This day brings together caring volunteers with agencies and community projects for one day of focused energy. Thousands of volunteers across the Black Hills work on hundreds of projects from gardening to painting. The day allows for everyone to “give a little good” back to the community and make a difference for people. With an economic impact of more than $80,000 to the Black Hills area, this day is more than grabbing a shovel and digging in. It’s about providing that helping hand up to those people and agencies who need it. Volunteer Cashier-Habitat ReStore Rapid City

The Black Hills Area Habitat ReStore is looking for weekly volunteers to help Cashier in the ReStore. The ReStore resells donated building materials and home items to raise money for the construction of Habitat houses in the greater Black Hills Region. Volunteers will help by:
* Assisting customers in making purchases.
* Using our point-of-sale software and cash register system to keep accurate records of sales and inventory.
* Practicing good customer service by welcoming and thanking all customers.
**This Volunteer position does require a background check

Meal Prep Volunteer- Fork Real Community Café

Fork Real Café is seeking volunteers to assist with preparing meals by chopping, cooking and assembling on Fridays and Saturdays.
Fork Real Café is a place where anyone can come to enjoy a home cooked meal in a dignified setting, regardless of their ability to pay. The goal of Fork Real Café is to bring real conversation back to the table. Fork Real will train volunteers who will work side by side with those who wish to gain additional skills.
