National Volunteer Week was established in 1974 and has grown exponentially each year, with thousands of volunteer projects and special events scheduled throughout the week.

During National Volunteer Week, we celebrate the impact of volunteer service and the power of change-makers to come together to tackle tough challenges, and build stronger, more vibrant communities.

Celebrate with Ellsworth AFB as we recognize our volunteers during a Volunteer Appreciation Tea event taking place at the Airman and Family Readiness Center on Thursday, April 19th from 10:30 am – 11:30 am. All volunteers are welcome to attend! Please RSVP for the event by calling (605) 385-4663.

Meal Providers for WAVI

Working Against Violence (WAVI) is seeking volunteers to provide meals.  Our kitchen is 14 years old and has had thousands of people cooking together over the years. Due to a generous grant, we are able to give it a face lift so thousands of more people can use it! We need your help to make sure our clients are fed during that time period. We will still have access to a fridge and a microwave but everything else will be getting replaced. If you or your group are available to donate a prepared meal, call 605-341-3292.
