The HOPE Center’s Mentoring Program currently has 5 active mentoring relationships. The mentors meet with their mentee once a week to offer encouragement, friendship, wisdom and counsel.

Volunteers needed for The Club for Boys

ClubOnce a month, The Club for Boys have an in-service where they clean house, prep for upcoming activities and events, update bulletin boards, do team trainings, repair equipment and do whatever else they can cram into an 8-hour day.

Extra hands are always needed and welcome – even if you can only give one hour, they’d love to have you!

Can your group help the Boy Scouts and Feeding South Dakota?

feedingsdThe Boy Scouts will be holding their annual food drive and Feeding South Dakota is in need of 15-20 volunteers to help sort the donated food on 10 December between approximately 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. at the Feeding South Dakota warehouse.

Black Hills Figure Skating Club seeks volunteers for their Winter Show

Volunteers are needed for the annual Black Hills Figure Skating Club Winter Show on Friday, Dec. 9 and Saturday, Dec. 10.  Volunteers are needed to help run the spotlight during dress rehearsal Thursday, Dec. 8 from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and during the shows Friday, Dec. 9, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 10 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Rapid City Library seeks Homebound delivery drivers

libraryThis rewarding library program delivers materials to people who cannot come to the library. The delivery routes generally take about an hour to complete.
Deliveries go out on Wednesday mornings and there is a library van available. Drivers must be over the age of 18 and have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. Training will be provided.

Ready for some Holiday Cheer at the Dahl? Volunteer at the Holiday Art Market

Take a break from crowded stores and visit the Holiday Art Market at the Dahl for a variety of unique, hand-made items from dozens of local artists. This fun, festive event, includes jewelry, scarves, greeting cards, books, pottery, fiber arts, paintings, photos, native art, handmade Christmas cards and ornaments, and more!

Want to get involved? Event organizers are looking for 4-6 Volunteers to run merchandise from the Vendor Tables to the Cashier.
